We ARE BEING or we HAVE BEEN Crucified?

My Mom gave me this book that she has been passionate about for many years - John G. Lake. It has been 11years since she handed me the power packed material....and it has taken me this long to crack it open and read this hidden treasure.

John G. Lake was an incredibly fascinating, miracle surrounded man in history. His sermons are 'otherworld' if that makes sense. The other day I was reading one of them, as he talks about us living on the other-side of the cross. Not pre-cross, and not even current cross, but post-cross! What does this mean - many Christians believe we are to live crucified lives. "We have been crucified with Christ...." And I'm not saying that means we live without suffering. But I doubt we really "have it right!"

There is sickness, unfortunate events, sadness all around us in individual's lives, the little 3year old battling cancer, the young mom dying...."The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in us!" Lives in our physical bodies. Mr. Lake talks about Christ, this LIFE that spoke LIFE into being at Creation, lives in our bodies.....of course the catch is, if we don't believe He lives in our bodies, than He probably does not. Christianity preaches more about saving our souls for eternity's sake, when perhaps there is an even Bigger picture....that we are just not getting. But some are.

The same morning I was letting the old words of Mr. Lake's sermon sink in, I had also been in my daily bible reading where Esau sells to Jacob his birthright. My mind went to all the times I had heard teachers talk about how foolish Esau was, in his appetite for what he wanted "NOW" he sold his birthright....I could not help wondering if many of us, who believe and embrace the Bible, and follow it....if we've sold our birthright for what we want now...for our appetite...

Our birthright, Christ's inheritance, exalted Christ, this healing Christ - we take for granted - we except suffering, but we cringe at dominating as Christ dominates over every sickness and over every physical law.

Daily Bread

Thinking this past summer about bread...

The most fascinating book on earth is passed over by many as irrelevant. Difficult to understand, it stands on many bookshelves collecting dust...and yet if hungry eyes crack it open, they will crack the code.  They will see the great adventure that the history, poetry, and literary puzzles that one of the oldest books in the world, the Bible holds.

Recently I shared at an Arts camp about bread!

Forty years in the desert and God supernaturally supplies His people with Manna, Heaven-Bread.  Daily they received it and daily they had to retrieve it, otherwise the day-old's became moldy....hmmmm. (WOW, I would like some Heaven-food that arrives on my doorstep each day - so cool!)

Some few hundred years later God's Son is in the desert for (as coincidence would have it) 40 days.  One of the three temptations that the Lord is faced with from the enemy was turning stone into bread....what was His answer? "man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God."

A couple of chapters later from this, the Lord tells folks how we should pray...and in that prayer we should ask God to "give us our daily bread".

At the end of this book of Matthew, He breaks bread, gives thanks, gives it to His disciples and says "take eat, this is my body"... And in John 1, this Bread of Life is called the Word of God....
Where am I going with all this?
What is the code? What is the puzzle my Creator is speaking to me about?

He wants me to ask for my daily bread, fresh each day, so that it won't get moldy...fresh Words from the Lord. Some how this Word, I believe is the presence of the Lord in our lives as well....because as in John 1, the Word was with God and the Word was God - my companion and daily inspiration for heavenly life here on earth.

Here On Earth....

"Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done here on earth as it is in Heaven..."

My hope is to dedicate the posts on this page to our Spiritual journeys and adventures.  Conversations with the King and dance exploration activities included.

I will be moving towards amalgamating www.InstrumentsOfWorship.blogspot.com into this space!

SERIOUS THOUGHT

NOW FOLKS THIS DEMANDS SOME SERIOUS THOUGHT

An interesting response from a Christian to a Muslim Imam in response to the differences of faith.
This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known leader in prison ministry. The man who walks with God always gets to his destination. If you have a pulse you have a purpose.

The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States, especially in the minority races!!

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance.

During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked: 'Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?'

There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, 'Non-believers!'

I responded, 'So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven. Is that correct?'

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.'

He sheepishly replied, 'Yes.'

I then stated, 'Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them a place in heaven!'

The Imam was speechless!

I continued, 'I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me! Let me ask you a question: Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order for you to go to heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with me?'

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame. Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the 'Diversification' training seminar were not happy with my way of dealing with the Islamic Imam, and exposing the truth about the Muslims' beliefs.

In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President!

I think everyone in the U.S. should be required to read this, but with the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us send it on! This is your chance to make a difference...

The King is Coming SOON!

This morning I had the priviledge of doing a couple of hours in the Prayer Furnace.  This year will mark our 5th year of 24/7 prayer and worship in our local house of prayer, and apparantly the only one in Canada that has actually been going 24/7.  It is always a joy  to participate, whether it is praying, painting and praying/worshiping, dancing or what have you!
